Due date for GSTR 3B for April 2022 might be increased by CBIC

Many people had reported difficulty in generation of GSTR 2B for the month of April 2022 whereas the supplier had filed GSTR 1 and the credit was available in GSTR 2A but not available in GSTR 2B and GST department checks the credit in GSTR 3B based on the report generated in GSTR 2B.

However, people are still facing the issue and therefore CBIC had proposed to extend the date for filing GSTR 3B as many people have raised the concern and CBIC has tweeted as under:

 

A technical glitch has been reported by @Infosys_GSTN in generation of April 22 GSTR-2B & auto-population of GSTR-3B on portal. Infosys has been directed by Govt for early resolution. Technical team is working to provide GSTR-2B &correct auto-populated GSTR-3B at the earliest

Considering the difficulties faced by taxpayers in filing their GSTR-3B for the month of April 2022, a proposal to extend the due date of filing GSTR-3B for April 2022 is under active consideration. Inconvenience caused to the taxpayers is regretted.”

Hence, it can be said that the due date might be increased by a two or three days soon in relation to GSTR 3B for the month of April 2022.
