GST website not working properly and beware of Fake GST filing website | It’s frustrating

As we all know we have been facing issues with filing of GST returns on last date as GST website would not take the load and we were not able to file the return as it would show “1.5 lakh people filing return….Please wait”

However now during such time when there is no such traffic even now the website is getting down many times.

It let’s you log in but as soon as you click on return Dashboard it shows the below message:

It stayed like that for many hours. It’s working fine now, however it is noteworthy to mention here that the maintenance work was scheduled as follows: “GSTN system will be under maintenance on 16th May between 12.01 AM to 5 AM.” But it kept it’s track record and was under maintenance till afternoon.

The department should understand that they are running a very essential website and such downtime and maintenance is not very pleasing for people. We must share this post with others so that it can reach the people managing the website and they come to know that those people who are trying to work in such times are not finding it pleasing when they see such messages on website.

Secondly GST website is spreading awareness about a fake website which is asking for details from taxpayer which is as under:

“BEWARE of FRAUD website https://onlinefilingindia.in . It is trying to BAIT taxpayers to reveal personal and bank details. DO NOT respond to messages, mails and lookalike websites which ask for your personal details.”

Now when we go to such website it is not showing anything so it’s been either taken down or blocked. Also it’s important to note that most of government website URL ends with “.gov.in” or such things and not only “.in”. So never share information with such website and never share bank details online even if you feel it’s a legitimate government website.
