E-way bill limit extends to Rs. 1 lakh for movement of goods within Rajasthan State

Rajasthan department of Commercial taxes have vide notification Dt. 30.03.2021 extended the limit for requirement of E-way bill for movement of goods within Rajasthan State.

Vide the above notification now no E-way bill would be required if the goods are not crossing the boundaries of the state of Rajasthan and the taxable value of goods does not exceed Rs. 1 lakh except for tobacco and it’s products.

Further it has been mentioned that although E-way bill won’t be required for intra state movement of goods but tax invoice, voucher, delivery challan or bill of entry, as the case may be will be still required.

The above notification shall come into force from 01.04.2021.

E-Way Bill is an Electronic Way bill for movement of goods to be generated on the eWay Bill Portal. A GST registered person cannot transport goods in a vehicle whose value exceeds Rs. 50,000. For intra state movement the limit might differ from state to state.

Inter-State movement of goods has seen rise in numbers of generation of eway bills ever since its implementation began from 1st April 2018.
