MCA has now extended the applicability of CARO, 2020 which was about to replace CARO, 2016.
CARO, 2020 shall now be applicable from 01.04.2021 i..e for FY 2021-22 which was earlier about to be applicable from 01.04.2020.

The amendment notification read as under:
“In the Companies (Auditor’s Report) Order, 2020, in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and word “1st April, 2020”, the figures, letters and word “1st April, 2021” shall be substituted.”
