How to get Register MSME? Online registration of MSME/ Udhyog Aadhar

As soon as the government announced various reliefs for MSME businesses and change in definition of MSME people had started registering their business under MSME.

Later, government changed the registration name from Udhyog Aadhar to Udyam registration, still it was an Aadhar based registration.

The only difference was not the Udyam registration would cross verify the details of turnover and plant and machinery from Income Tax data and GST data.

In future i.e. next Financial year, getting GST registration would be mandatory for registration as a MSME under Udyam.

Many people had applied for Udyam registration in the start of July but have not received the registration certificate till date, all they have is a registration number and the status of such number shows that your Udyam registration is still under process.

Now the probable reason for such delay in getting Udyam registration could be unprepared launch of Udyam where department signed a MoU with CBDT for exchange of information on 21.07.2020. Whereas it has still not signed any MoU with CBIC for exchange of GST information.

Such MoU should be signed before launch of the process rather than signing it later.

Although it is similar Aadhar based registration process but on one hand one used to get Udhyog aadhar within 5 mins and here its been 3 weeks and still people are not getting their Udyam Registration.

Let’s see when the things are fixed by department and it becomes as smooth as udyog aadhar.
