Earlier we all used to apply for PAN card by filling a Form 49A and it would take around a week for them to issue the PAN. However now CBDT has announced a paperless, Aadhar based service for instant allotment of PAN number without any fees.

Getting a New PAN is just a 5 step procedure:

  • Enter Aadhar details.
  • Validate OTP
  • Validate Aadhar details.
  • Validate E-mail id (optional)
  • Get PAN card.

You can visit HERE to apply for your free PAN card.

Who can apply: PAN applicants who have an Aadhaar number from UIDAI and have registered their mobile number with Aadhaar, can apply. Thus only natural person can apply for such instant PAN and not partnership firm or company.

Click the link- ‘Instant PAN through Aadhaar’.
Click the link- ‘Check Status of PAN’.
Submit the Aadhaar number in the space provided, then submit the OTP sent to the Aadhaar registered mobile number.
