Income tax e-filing website to be non functional from 01.06.2021 to 06.06.2021 | New revamped e-filing website from 07.06.2021

CBDT has made an announcement wherein it has been mentioned that CBDT is going to launch new income tax e-filing website https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home from 07.06.2021.

In preparation for launching the new website, the existing income tax e-filing portal will not be available between 01.06.2021 to 06.06.2021.

Now, with advancement of technology various tasks or proceedings such as show cause notice, hearing through video conferencing, issuing questionnaire or replying to notices is being done through this website.

Hence, CBDT has asked all the officers to not fix any hearing or compliance due date during this time and to fix all the hearings or compliances after 10.06.2021.

If any proceedings have already been fixed during this period same may be preponed or postponed according to above schedule.

All notices or orders issued during this period shall be visible to taxpayer after the new portal goes online post 07.06.2021.

It is important to note that last date for filing belated/ revised income tax return for AY 2020-21, TDS return for Q4 and SFT return is 31.05.2021.
